coss.com vs Formspree

Formspree has more integrations and keeps submissions longer. coss.com Forms screens every submission with Risk and feeds your contacts.

Both give a plain HTML form an endpoint to post to, with no backend, a _gotcha honeypot and email notifications. Formspree connects to Slack, Google Sheets, Zapier and two dozen other tools. coss.com Forms runs every submission through coss.com Risk, sends accepted ones to your webhooks, team and contacts with double opt-in, and renders hosted pages.

Which to choose

Both are good at what they do. Here is where each one fits better.

Choose Formspree when

  • Submissions go to your other tools

Slack, Google Sheets, Notion, Airtable, Zapier, HubSpot and more, without writing a webhook handler. coss.com sends to webhooks, email and its own contacts.

  • You keep every submission

Formspree's paid plans keep the submission archive with no limit. coss.com deletes accepted submissions after a retention period.

  • You want autoresponses or lots of forms

Autoresponses from Professional, and unlimited forms on every plan.

Choose coss.com when

  • Real spam screening on every submission

The same Risk assessment coss.com uses for sign-ups: disposable addresses, IP reputation, velocity, captcha and a content check, with held submissions you can release.

  • Forms that build your list

Accepted submissions become contacts with audiences, topics and properties, with double opt-in, ready for broadcasts from the same account.

  • No-backend pages

Hosted pages rendered from your fields, embeddable on origins you allow, with the honeypot and captcha already in.

  • Sandbox environments

Test forms in a sandbox environment, including the confirmation emails, without touching live data.

Questions

Can I keep my HTML form when moving from Formspree?
Yes. Change the action to the coss.com form's endpoint. The _gotcha honeypot works under the same name, and _next sets where the browser goes afterwards.
How does coss.com filter form spam?
Every submission passes the honeypot, then a coss.com Risk assessment of the email, IP, browser, captcha and the text. Spam gets the same answer as a success, so bots learn nothing.
Does coss.com Forms integrate with Slack or Google Sheets?
Not directly. Accepted submissions go to your webhooks, to your team by email and into your coss.com contacts; Formspree has ready-made integrations for those tools.
How long does coss.com keep submissions?
Accepted submissions for 90 days and spam, held and unconfirmed ones for 14 days. Download them as CSV from the dashboard, or forward them to your own store with a webhook.
